Acorn Squash

Here’s a yummy and comforting dish for cold weather. It is inexpensive, and children love the flavor.

  • 2 Acorn squash
  • 4 TBL butter
  • 4 TBL maple sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Cut each acorn squash in half. Clean out insides, seeds and all. Into each acorn cavity, place 1 TBL butter and 1TBL maple sugar. Season the squash with salt and pepper to taste. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until creamy soft in the center and deeply brown.
