11 DIY Retro Toys

phpfHjXOiPMWe’re all worried about time and money this holiday season. Here are my top 10 retro toys that you can make yourself for not too much of either.

First of all, remember that children’s play is about imitating real life so they may not need as many toys as we think, especially during their younger years. As Geek Dad reminds us, the 6 Best Toys of All Time are:

A Stick

A Box

String

Cardboard Tube

Dirt

Water

Many classic children toys are simple to make and could become handmade treasures. Here are some favorites:

These are all great ideas!! I have always wanted to know how to do many of these like the yoyo, the stuffed animal and especially the rubber stamp and ink pad. I can’t wait to try it. Thanks for sharing this with us.
